Talisman

A single-movement work that, like some of the Préludes to Bach’s suites, uses a single rhythmic conceit throughout, Talisman begins and ends poised somewhere between Eb major and the closely related C minor, and explores diverse harmonic regions along the way.  Talisman was composed as a get-well-soon present for Annie Paulson.  Violoncello solo.  8.5"x11".  Duration approx. 6' 30".
